LittleBigPlanet Community Game Jam
Last weekend we invited a selection of Creators from around the world to come down the new Mm studio in Guildford, have a go on LittleBigPlanet 2, and put the new creation tools to the test!
The 15 strong selection of hardened Popit-eers spent 24 sleepless hours building all manner of crazy things; from top down shooters to competitive wrestling games.

The first hour or so was chaos. Straight up. We literally didn’t know where to begin. The vast selection of new tools, features, and options left us all flying off in different directions. Some of us messed with the circuit boards, some of us made little contraptions, while others explored the new materials, objects, stickers, and decorations to be used in LBP2. Others played with sackbots and switches and gravity controls. Meanwhile, the MM staff buzzed around behind us, offering tips and hints and explaining the workings of some of the more mysterious tools. It was wonderful to be surrounded by people who shared the same passion for exploration, tinkering, and creation.

In a few weeks time we’ll have an even longer edit of the video, showing more of these wonderful creative folks, and of the games they made, so make sure to look out for that. The Community Game Jam was hopefully only the first of these type of events to come, we’ll have to see!
