Now it’s done you can publish your level to the LittleBigPlanet, and people from all walks of life will be able to play it and appreciate your creative abilities. Here’s how…
Name, Description, Icon
Should you wish to change the name of your scene, or choose a different picture for the badge, simply press
whilst hovering over the level badge on My Moon, and scroll to the right using
Here you’ll find options to edit the name, set the description and add a badge icon.
People will choose to play your level based on these, so have a good think before you dive in!
Name
What’s in a name? Quite a lot actually! This could make or break your level - Take time to consider your level and the name it deserves, make it descriptive but interesting, check your spelling, and remember: no naughtiness. You don’t want to make us cry do you?
Description
A short concise description is very important - let players know what’s in the level; does it have a story? Is it made for multiple players or better with just one? There are lots of things to consider here, have a look at other people’s descriptions to get some ideas.
Icon
You can set your icon from one of the stickers in your Popit. A custom Icon is something a lot of Curators pride themselves in making, and can make your level stand out in the crowd!
Publish Level
In this same menu you will find the Big Red Button. The button that once pushed, makes the level go live, and invites people to enjoy what you have made. Should something go wrong, you can un-publish it from your InfoMoon. There are some options to consider when publishing your level…
Locked
You could choose to lock your level, in which case a key will be needed to access the level, which is an object that you can place in other levels or just give to a select few individuals.
Copyable?
If you’re feeling generous, you could set your level to be copyable, which will enable other Curators to copy it to their moon, see how it all works and republish parts of it themselves. Be careful though, if you don’t want others taking credit for your work, then leave this set to no!
